This is the place for those who are a fan of the late Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the famous Granada series!
Art Submission and Joining Rules
PLEASE READ TO THE END BEFORE JOINING OR SUBMITTING.
Everyone is welcome to join! Members must be courteous to the admins and their fellow deviants. If they are found to be discourteous, they will be warned, and upon the second offense removed from the club.
As the group name suggests, submissions to this group must represent Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes and be true to his portrayal of the character in the Granada series. Brett's Holmes doesn't have to be the only thing in the piece, but he should be in there somewhere! We would prefer that the piece focus on him.
Art from all skill levels is accepted! But please try to submit only art that you think is a good, high standard of what you can do. Random sketches, WIPs, etc., are not encouraged unless you believe them to be very visually striking for some reason. Icons, wallpapers, and the like are accepted. Please try not to submit your entire gallery.
At this time the group does not accept fan fiction or other literature. This rule may later be changed.
Your submissions must not contain pairings of ANY nature (even if it is discreet). Jeremy Brett was very specific that he believed Holmes and Watson were JUST friends, and very good ones at that.
Here at #BrettHolmesFans, we also understand that in private interviews Jeremy said he played the character as if he had been slightly affected by Irene Adler/Norton, but even then there was no romance between them, so that will not be accepted either.
No nudity, and no clothing more revealing than what was worn in Victorian times/on the show.
IF your art follows all of our rules but still is submitted to a slash group and we notice, WE WILL REMOVE IT from the group gallery, so do not submit something knowingly in a slash group; we wish to have no connections to slash groups. Also, if you notice a piece in our gallery that is also in a slash group, please notify us so it can be removed. The reason for this rule is that--even if a piece is perfectly clear of slash--it was still willingly placed into a slash group or allowed into a slash group. As stated before, we hold to the fact that Mr. Brett specified that he thought Holmes and Watson were just excellent friends.
We would prefer if the art in this group is solely Granada series-related, but if you have a crossover piece that you feel deserves to be included, you are welcome to ask about it and we will consider it. An example of this would be Brett's Holmes in a piece with other Holmes actors.
Submit all of your art to the correct folder! If you submit to the incorrect folder, your submission will be denied and you will be asked to resubmit to the correct folder. Submissions to Featured are not allowed. If you would like a piece included in the Featured folder, send a note to admin about it and it will be considered.
Submissions are limited to three pieces a week, maximum. As much as we'd like to fill our gallery, we don't want to flood our watchers' inboxes! If your piece was denied (or expired) and you do not understand why, you are always welcome to ask about it.
If you find pieces in the group gallery that do not fit in with the guidelines above, please inform the administrators. Thank you!

"My mind rebels at stagnation. Give me problems; give me work. Give me the most abstruse cryptogram, the most intricate analysis, and I'm in my proper atmosphere. Then I can dispense with artificial stimulants. But I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave mental exultation. That is why I have chosen my own profession, or rather, created it, for I am the only one in the world." --Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, in 'A Scandal in Bohemia'
